When a paint store is built these days, the energy concept is a top priority. When Fabricar owner Christian Kucz set about building his extension at the company’s headquarters in Bad Aibling around three years ago, the framework conditions changed dramatically in this respect. “Originally, we planned to use gas as the traditional energy source,” recalls Christian Kucz. “Shortly before the start of construction, the Ukraine war broke out and with it the risk of gas supply bottlenecks.” To be on the safe side, liquid gas was then chosen as the energy source for the first part of the new building, but this proved to be a temporary solution. Christian Kucz: “Checking supplies, arranging delivery, finding the right price – none of that was what I had in mind for a new building.” When it finally came to the realization of the new paint shop, it was clear to him – now was the time to make a big splash.
