When Fabricar owner Christian Kucz set about building his extension at the company’s headquarters in Bad Aibling around three years ago, the framework conditions changed dramatically in this respect. “Originally, we planned to use gas as the traditional energy source,” recalls Christian Kucz. “Shortly before the start of construction, the Ukraine war broke out and with it the risk of gas supply bottlenecks.” To be on the safe side, liquid gas was then chosen as the energy source for the first part of the new building, but this proved to be a temporary solution. This Sehon customer uses ambient heat from the ground, namely from the groundwater, via heat pumps to generate energy.
