Spray booths – tips for strong winters
Spray booths – tips for harsh winters with ice and snow
4 tips for trouble-free operation of your paint shop(s) in severe winters.
- In our latitudes, spray booths are generally designed for temperatures from -10° Celsius to +20° Celsius. If the outside temperature falls below -10° Celsius, please reduce the supply air volumes.
- Never switch off the main switch on hot water-operated air heaters, otherwise the frost protection function will be deactivated and the hot water registers cannot be flushed (freezing / bursting possible).
- Check that the outside intake (usually on the roof) is free of snow and ice, otherwise there is a risk of water getting into the system. This could result in poor painting results.
- Freezing of the intake grille is also possible and may minimize the air volumes. Also remove ice and snow from the intake grille.
We hope we have been able to give you a few valuable tips to keep your business running smoothly even in extreme conditions. Sometimes these are small practical tips with a big impact. We wish you and us continued success.
