Spray booths – tips for harsh winters with ice and snow
4 tips for trouble-free operation of your paint shop(s) in severe winters.
- In our latitudes, spray booths are generally designed for temperatures from -10° Celsius to +20° Celsius. If the outside temperature falls below -10° Celsius, please reduce the supply air volumes.
- Never switch off the main switch on hot water-operated air heaters, otherwise the frost protection function will be deactivated and the hot water registers cannot be flushed (freezing / bursting possible).
- Check that the outside intake (usually on the roof) is free of snow and ice, otherwise there is a risk of water getting into the system. This could result in poor painting results.
- Freezing of the intake grille is also possible and may minimize the air volumes. Also remove ice and snow from the intake grille.
